Terminate a card

What card termination means

Card termination is the operation used to terminate card usage. After the termination request is submitted, the card enters the termination process. After processing is complete, the card becomes terminated and can no longer be used.

How to initiate termination in the Dashboard

Merchants can initiate card termination from the card list or card details page.

Steps

1. Go to the card list or card details page
2. Click “Terminate card”
3. Review the termination notice in the confirmation dialog
4. Confirm and submit the termination request

Dialog notice

The processing time shown in the dialog depends on the capability supported by the current card product. During the pre-termination period, the card cannot initiate positive transactions but can still receive reverse transactions such as refunds.

Results after termination

After the termination request is submitted, the card enters a pre-termination state. After processing is complete, the card becomes terminated.

After termination:

• The card can no longer be used for purchases
• The card cannot be reactivated
• If the card has a returnable balance, the system handles the balance according to the termination result and returns it to the merchant’s corresponding currency account

Operation limits

• Whether the termination entry is shown in the Dashboard depends on whether the card product supports termination
• Terminated cards cannot continue to be used
