Card termination

Card termination is the operation used to terminate card usage. After a termination request is submitted, the card enters the termination process. When processing is complete, the card becomes terminated and can no longer be used.

Termination methods

Through the Dashboard:

1. Go to the card list or card details page
2. Click “Terminate card”
3. Review the termination notice in the confirmation dialog
4. Confirm and submit the termination request

Through the API:

Use the Card operation API to initiate a termination operation by passing TERMINATE as the type. After the status is updated, the card enters the pre-termination process.

Confirmation notice

The processing time shown in the dialog depends on the capability supported by the current card product. During pre-termination, the card cannot initiate forward transactions, but it can still receive reverse transactions such as refunds.

Result after termination

After the termination request is submitted, the card enters a pre-termination status. After processing is complete, the card becomes terminated.

After termination is complete:

• The card can no longer be used for spending
• The card cannot be reactivated
• If refundable balance remains on the card, the system processes it according to the termination result and returns it to the merchant's corresponding currency account

Operation limits

• Whether the termination entry is shown in the Dashboard depends on whether the card product supports termination
• Terminated cards can no longer be used
